Mid-face lift is recommended for people above 40 years old who start having the sagging skin or wrinkles on face. Mid-face lift aims to restore a more youthful look by tightening facial skin and eliminating wrinkles
How long should I stay in Thailand for Full Facelift?
A patient should stay in Thailand at least 10-14 days to complete a whole process. On an arrival day in Thailand, a patient should stay in a hotel to relax from a long flight and have a surgery on the following day. Mid-face lift will require 2 nights stay in the hospital. Post operative check up and stitches removal will be done 7 days after the surgery.
How is surgery performed?
The incision of mid-facelift begins above the hairline at the temple area, brought in front of the ear and looping behind the ear lobe. The surgeon separates the skin from fat and underlying structure. The excess skin is removed and tightened. Our surgeons are certified by national certified board. They also are well-trained both in Thailand and abroad.
Will anesthesia be used?
Yes, mid-face lift will be done under General Anesthesia and takes 3-4 hours average.
What is the post-surgical care?
After the surgery, a patient will have to use cold compress for 2 days and avoid lying with the cheeks in contact with bed or pillow for 1 month to prevent hematoma formation. Some numbness may persist for 3-6 months. The patient should avoid any strenuous activities for at least 4-6 weeks following surgery. This will give the body ample time to adjust as it continues on the healing process.
How will the scar looks?
Scars are usually hidden in hair lines and gradually fade. They will be not noticeable
What are the possible risks and complications?
The possible main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in sensation. Following the surgeon’s advice will reduce risks and complications.
