How long should I stay in Thailand for breast augmentation?
A patient should stay in Thailand at least 10 days to complete a whole process. On an arrival day in Thailand, a patient should stay in a hotel to relax from a long flight and have a surgery on the following day. Breast implant requires 1 night stay in the hospital. Post operative check up and stitches removal will be done 7 days after the surgery.

How is surgery performed?
The incision may be done around the areola, at the armpits, or at the inferior breast folds depending upon the patient's choice and doctor's preference. The position of implant placement can be either above or under muscle depending on an individual’s anatomy.

Yes, breast augmentation here in Thailand will be done under General Anesthesia and takes 1-2 hours average.

What kinds of implant are used for the surgery?
There are two overall types of breast implants: silicone breast implants and saline breast implants. Silicone breast implants are normally used because they give are more natural look and feel. However, there are also other factors to consider. The breast implants may be of a round or teardrop shape and they may have either a smooth or textured surface. Our surgeons at Yanhee International Hospital normally prefer to use round silicone implants with textured surface. However, other types of breast implants may be used upon request from the patient.

What is the post-surgical care?
After the surgery, there maybe pain around the breast and the armpit for 2-3 days. The patient should start lifting arms within the first 2-3 days. A brassiere can be normally, but do not use brassieres with metal support during the first month. Swelling will be gone and the breast will look beautiful in about one month, permanent shape will appear within 3-6 months. The patient should always massage the breasts for Approximately 3-6 months.

The position of the scar depends on the location of the incision. Scars are usually hidden in hair lines and gradually fade, although they will never disappear completely. They will be not noticeable.

What are the possible risks and complications?
The possible main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in sensation. Following the surgeon’s advice will reduce risks and complications.
